Hillsborough County – Committee to assist the Director of Budget in preparing required financial impact statements

This is a hybrid, in-person quorum* meeting of the Committee responsible for assisting the County Budget Officer in preparing the financial impact statements required by the Charter.

The purpose of the committee to assist the county budget manager in preparing the financial impact statements required by the charter is to offer input and guidance to the budget manager who is directed by section 8.05 of the county charter. County of Hillsborough to prepare a financial impact statement for certain county-wide referenda, such as this year’s referendum on the transit surcharge.

Anyone wishing to appeal any decision made by the committee responsible for assisting the county budget manager in preparing the financial impact statements required by the charter regarding any matter considered at the next meeting is hereby informed that he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and for this purpose he or she may need to ensure that a record of the proceedings is made, which will include the testimony and evidence on which such appeal must be well-founded.

What is an in-person hybrid quorum meeting?

A hybrid in-person quorum meeting is where a quorum of board members meets in person at a physical location. The rest of the board, staff and the general public participate virtually.
